Last NS Line train from Bukit Gombak towards City is around 11:35 PM weekdays / 12:05 AM Fridays & Saturdays. Grab back to Orchard is usually $18–24 off-peak. Plan accordingly — or stay for one more coffee.

Honestly — is the trip worth it for art jamming alone?
For a once-off Saturday afternoon, central spots are closer. For a real session — proper easels, no rushing, a café you can wander to mid-canvas — most central guests tell us yes, especially as a date or group plan where the destination feel matters.
Is there a closer Art Journey location?
No — Tengah is our only studio. That's part of why we put real space and a real café into it, instead of running compact pop-ups across the island.
Is there parking?
Yes — Plantation Plaza has free open-air parking that's rarely full. Easiest if you're coming as a group.
What's the last train back to the city?
From Bukit Gombak on the NS Line, around 11:35 PM weekdays and 12:05 AM Fridays / Saturdays heading towards the city. Last bus from outside the studio runs earlier — check the LTA app on the day. Grab is reliable as a backup.
How long does a typical art jamming session take?
2 hours is our standard walk-in slot. 2.5–3 hours is more typical if you want to actually finish a piece without rushing — most central guests opt for the longer version since they've already invested in the trip.
Can I take my painting back on the MRT?
Yes — smaller canvases (up to 30×40 cm) are easy to carry. For larger pieces, we recommend Grab back, or we can hold it for pickup within 7 days.
Can I bring my own snacks or drinks?
We'd love you to try the café — it's part of the experience. Outside food isn't ideal, but a sealed coffee from the journey is fine.
Where can I grab dinner after?
Plantation Plaza itself has a few F&B options, and our café serves light meals. For a proper dinner, Bukit Gombak and Bukit Batok have hawker centres and casual eateries within 10 minutes by bus or Grab.
Is the studio accessible?
Yes — Plantation Plaza has lifts to all floors. The studio itself is level access from the lift lobby. Let us know in advance if you have specific access needs and we'll prepare accordingly.
Do I need to book ahead?
For a 2-pax walk-in on a weekday, usually no. For weekends, evenings, groups, or any private session — yes, please book. We get full faster than central residents expect.
What if I get lost on the way?
WhatsApp us — we'll talk you through the last stretch in real time. The trickiest bit is finding the right bus stop at Bukit Gombak; once you're at Plantation Cres – Tengah CC, you can almost see us.
Are kids welcome?
Yes, though our art jamming format is adult-led. For younger ones we also run age-specific workshops (toddlers, preschoolers, primary school) — ask us about those if you're bringing the kids along.
