  1. Head onto the PIE westbound from your East starting point.
  2. Stay on the PIE across the island (~28–32 km from Tampines).
  3. Exit towards the KJE / Tengah direction.
  4. Follow signs to Plantation Crescent, Tengah.
  5. Arrive at Plantation Plaza, #04-07 — free open-air parking on site.
  6. Off-peak ~40 min; allow 55–60 min during weekday evening rush.
By MRT
⏱ ~70 min door-to-door from Tampines
  1. From Tampines / Bedok / Pasir Ris, board the East-West Line (Green) towards Tuas Link.
  2. Ride to Jurong East (EW24 / NS1) — the longest leg of the trip.
  3. Transfer to the North-South Line (Red) towards Choa Chu Kang.
  4. Alight at Bukit Gombak (NS3) after 2 stops.
  5. From Exit B, take bus 870 / 872 / 992 (~8 min) to Plantation Cres – Tengah CC.
  6. 2-minute walk to the studio. (Tip: a podcast and a window seat make it painless.)

Honestly, isn't it too far from the East?
For a casual weekday drop-in, yes — a closer studio makes more sense. For a date, a celebration, or a group occasion where the experience matters, East-siders tell us the ~40-minute drive is worth it. And if it genuinely isn't, our off-site option brings the whole setup to you instead.
Can you really come to the East instead?
Yes. Off-site art jamming is one of our most popular options for East groups. We bring canvases, paints, easels, aprons, and facilitators to your venue — condos, offices, community centres, anywhere. There's no group-size cap when we host on-site at your space.
What's the best route by car?
PIE westbound across the island, then exit towards the KJE / Tengah direction and follow signs to Plantation Crescent. About 40 minutes from Tampines off-peak. Free open-air parking at Plantation Plaza when you arrive.
Is MRT realistic from the East?
It's doable but long — around 70 minutes door-to-door from Tampines, including a transfer at Jurong East and a short bus from Bukit Gombak. If you're car-free, we'd genuinely suggest considering the off-site option for groups, or a weekend trip when you're not time-pressured.
When should I come to avoid the worst traffic?
Weekend mornings and Friday evenings (painting through the rush, then driving home on clear roads) are the sweet spots. Avoid weekday 6–7:30 PM if you're driving — the PIE westbound crawls.
Do you do East-side birthday parties?
Yes — off-site birthday art jamming is a favourite. We set up at your condo function room, home, or party venue anywhere in the East. Message us with your date, guest count, and location for a quick quote.
Is there a closer Art Journey branch in the East?
No — Tengah is our only studio. That's exactly why off-site is such a strong option for East customers: instead of you travelling to us, we travel to you.
How long does a session take?
2 hours for a standard walk-in, 2.5 hours for the date-night format. If you've driven across the island, we'd suggest the longer session so the trip feels worthwhile.
Can I take my painting home in the car?
Easily — canvases travel well flat in a boot. For MRT travellers, smaller canvases are fine to carry; larger ones can be collected later within 7 days.
Do I need to book ahead?
For any trip from the East, yes — please book so we can guarantee your slot and you don't drive across for nothing. Off-site events need at least 1–2 weeks' notice depending on group size.
Are kids welcome at the studio?
Yes — art jamming is all-ages, though it's adult-led. We also run dedicated kids' art workshops (toddlers, preschoolers, primary school) if you're bringing little ones along.
