FAQ
1. What are the Kids Creative Workshops at Art Journey?
Long-term art workshop programmes for children, designed around hands-on, open-ended creative sessions. Inspired by Jean Piaget’s learning theory, each programme blends age-appropriate development with play, storytelling, and themed art-making to build creativity and confidence gradually over time.
2. What age group are the workshops suitable for?
Our workshops are suitable for children aged 4 years and above, with activities adjusted by age group.
3. Is this suitable for a child who says they "can't draw"?
Yes! We believe every child is an artist. Our workshops are designed to be low-pressure and high-fun. We use many techniques (like mixed media and 3D art) that don’t rely solely on drawing skills, ensuring every child feels successful.
4. What specific skills will my child learn?
Depending on the workshop, kids will explore color theory, 3D spatial awareness (through clay and cardboard), fine motor skills, and various painting techniques. We aim to nurture both their technical ability and their unique artistic “voice.”
5. How many children are in a typical workshop?
We keep our studio sessions cozy to ensure quality guidance. Our studio at Plantation Plaza can accommodate up to 45 pax indoors and 25 pax outdoors, but for regular creative workshops, we maintain a comfortable student-to-instructor ratio.
6. How long does each workshop last?
Most sessions run between 1.5 to 2 hours.
7. Can workshops be conducted at schools or other venues?
Yes, we provide on-site workshops with no participant limit, depending on your venue space.
8. Are the materials included?
Yes, all professional-grade, non-toxic art materials are provided. Your child just needs to bring their imagination! We also provide aprons, though we always recommend wearing “art-friendly” clothes just in case.
9. What art materials and mediums are used?
Children experiment with watercolour, acrylic, oil pastels, clay, and more. All materials are non-toxic, child-safe, and included in the session.
10. Can parents join or do they drop off their child?
Both are welcome! Parents may join for a bonding experience, or drop off their child and enjoy a coffee at Plantation Plaza while they create.
