For tourists & solo travellers

English-speaking facilitators throughout. We've welcomed walk-ins from over 40 countries — most discovered us by chance and stayed for hours longer than they planned.

Getting here from town: Grab from Orchard takes ~25 minutes, ~SGD 18–22. MRT from CBD: take East-West Line to Jurong East, transfer North-South Line to Bukit Gombak, then a short bus or 7-min Grab.

Take it home: Acrylic canvases pack flat in a suitcase. Most tourists leave with one tucked under their arm.

Walk-in FAQs

The questions people ask before deciding to come.

Do I really not need a booking?
Correct. Just walk in during open hours. Bookings are encouraged for groups of 6+ to guarantee easel availability, but solo and small walk-ins are part of every day's rhythm.
What if you're full when I arrive?
Rare during quiet hours, possible on Saturday afternoons. If we're at capacity, we'll usually have an easel free within 30 minutes — café is the natural waiting room. WhatsApp us before you travel if it's a Saturday and we'll tell you the honest state.
Can I really just paint for 30 minutes?
Yes — 3D figurines and small sand art pieces are designed to finish in 30–45 min. Hand painting on canvas usually wants more like 90 minutes to feel complete, but you set your own pace.
What if I've never painted before?
Most walk-ins are first-timers. Our facilitator gives a 2-minute orientation, suggests a starting point if you want one, and stays available without hovering. The studio is wired for "I have no idea what I'm doing" energy.
How do I pay? Card / PayNow / cash?
All of the above. Cash, all credit cards, PayNow, NETS, and most major mobile wallets. Pay at the café counter on your way out — no need to settle up at arrival.
Can I come completely alone? Will it be awkward?
Genuinely no. A meaningful share of our walk-in traffic is solo creators choosing to spend time with their own canvas. We have quieter corners if you want privacy, and headphones are welcome.
I'm a tourist — is the studio English-friendly?
Yes. All staff are fluent in English; Mandarin and Malay are commonly spoken too. We've hosted walk-ins from 40+ countries.
Can I take my canvas home the same day?
Yes — acrylic paints dry touch-firm within 30 minutes. Your piece travels fine in a Grab, MRT, or even a suitcase (lay it flat in clothing layers). For oil-based or 3D figurines, we'll let you know the dry time.
Can I just look around the studio first?
Of course. Walk in, look around, sit at the café and watch other people paint. No obligation. Some walk-ins decide on the spot, others come back the following day.
What if I start and don't finish?
No problem. We can store your piece for up to 7 days for you to come back and finish, or you can take it home half-done and complete it elsewhere. Pay for the time you used.
Is there parking nearby?
Plantation Plaza has free open-air parking, usually plenty of spaces. Lift to #04-07 and you're at our door.
What if I'm bringing a friend last-minute?
Up to 4 walk-ins is fine without notice. For 5+, a quick WhatsApp message helps us prep the easels and seating.

Come now. Or in 20 minutes. Either works.

No booking, no commitment. Get directions and head over — we'll have an easel ready by the time you arrive.
