Art Workshop Near Bukit View Primary School

Art Journey Singapore is an 8-minute drive from Bukit View Primary — or a direct ride on Bus 992. A structured creative programme, not a one-off craft session

The Kids Art Workshop runs as a long-term programme across two age-banded seasons, with each theme built over a 2-week creative path. Here's how it's structured.

🌱

Young Creator Season

Ages 4–7

Playful, sensory-rich sessions introducing shapes, colours, textures, and stories. Designed to spark imagination and build early creative confidence.

🎨

Emerging Artist Season

Ages 8–12

Deeper exploration through technique, observation, and themed storytelling — helping growing young artists develop a more confident creative voice.

1

Week One — Explore & Create

Materials, theme introduction, and first creative steps. Children explore the medium and begin their piece without pressure to finish.

2

Week Two — Complete & Reflect

Building on week one's work, finishing the piece with more confidence, then a reflect-and-share moment before take-home.

Themed activities woven into every session

Each 2-week theme draws on a mix of these approaches — not just painting.

Questions from Bukit View Primary families

How far is it really from Bukit View Primary?
About 8 minutes by car off-peak via Bukit Batok West Avenue — one of the shortest school-to-studio drives in our catchment. Alternatively, Bus 992 runs directly from the Bukit View Primary area to Tengah without a transfer, taking approximately 15 minutes including waiting time.
Can my P5/P6 child take Bus 992 independently to the studio?
Yes, with prior arrangement. We need a parent-authorised "arrive independently" note in the booking — confirming your child has permission to travel to the studio unaccompanied and knows the Bus 992 route. When your child arrives, the facilitator signs them in and you get a WhatsApp confirmation. Pickup still requires an authorised adult unless you've made a separate arrangement for independent departure.
Can I drop off after school and collect on the way home from work?
Yes — that's the pattern most school-day regulars use. Pickup is flexible between 5–6pm. A facilitator is with the group throughout. WhatsApp us your usual pickup time and we'll note it in the booking.
Are you affiliated with Bukit View Primary School?
No — we're an independent studio. We mention the school because many of our regulars' families come from the Bukit Batok area, not because of any formal arrangement with the school.
What Primary level is the workshop suitable for?
All levels — P1 through P6. Children in P1–P3 (ages 7–9) typically join the Young Creator season, while P4–P6 (ages 10–12) join the Emerging Artist season. Siblings at different levels attend in parallel within the same session time, each in their age-appropriate track.
Can my child join the weekly programme from here?
Yes — most Bukit Batok families enrol in the weekly programme with a regular recurring slot. Each theme runs over 2 weeks, so consistent attendance is encouraged. The Bus 992 option makes this especially practical for older children who can travel independently. A trial session is available first if your child wants to experience a session before committing. See our after-school page for full details, or just WhatsApp us to arrange.
What about school holidays?
We run workshops across all four Singapore school holiday cycles — March, June, September, and December. The holiday art camp is a 5-day structured programme popular with Bukit Batok families who want something purposeful for the full week. Individual holiday sessions are also available without the camp commitment.
