Art Workshop Near Rulang Primary School
Art Journey Singapore is about an 11-minute drive from Rulang Primary School — close enough for a regular weekly slot in our structured kids' art programme. Young Creator (ages 4–7) and Emerging Artist (ages 8–12) seasons run year-round, with each theme built over a 2-week creative path at Plantation Plaza, Tengah.
Getting here from Rulang Primary
Plantation Plaza, Tengah — 127 Plantation Crescent, #04-07, Singapore 690127.
From Rulang Primary, head onto Jurong East Avenue 1 toward the Boon Lay / Bukit Batok corridor.
Continue toward Tengah — signposted from the Boon Lay / Bukit Batok junction.
Turn into Plantation Crescent. Plantation Plaza is on your left — free open-air parking, rarely full.
Take the lift to #04-07. Art Journey is at the end of the corridor — drop-off takes under 2 minutes.
After-school timing — how it fits
Rulang Primary typically dismisses between 1:30–2:30pm depending on level. An 11-minute drive puts your child at the studio comfortably before the programme's afternoon sessions begin.
Flexible pickup between 5–6pm for working parents collecting on the way home. WhatsApp us if you need a specific time confirmed before booking.
A creative counterweight for academically driven schedules
Many of our Rulang Primary families have children navigating a genuinely demanding academic track. What they tell us they're looking for isn't a babysitting activity — it's a creative outlet substantial enough to hold a sharp child's attention, without adding to the pressure.
Real technique, not busy-work
The Emerging Artist season is built around genuine skill progression — observation, composition, technique — which tends to hold the interest of children who get bored quickly with simple craft time.
A different kind of thinking
Visual, spatial, and narrative problem-solving exercises a different part of the mind than schoolwork does — many parents describe it as the one weekly hour where their child isn't being assessed on anything.
Low-friction scheduling
One weekly slot, no homework, no take-home assignments between sessions. Built to sit alongside a packed schedule, not compete with it.
Trial session before committing
If your child's schedule is already tight, we'd rather you try a single session and see the fit than commit blind. WhatsApp us to arrange one.
A structured creative programme, not a one-off craft session
The Kids Art Workshop runs as a long-term programme across two age-banded seasons, with each theme built over a 2-week creative path. Here's how it's structured.
Young Creator Season
Ages 4–7
Playful, sensory-rich sessions introducing shapes, colours, textures, and stories. Designed to spark imagination and build early creative confidence.
Emerging Artist Season
Ages 8–12
Deeper exploration through technique, observation, and themed storytelling — helping growing young artists develop a more confident creative voice.
Week One — Explore & Create
Materials, theme introduction, and first creative steps. Children explore the medium and begin their piece without pressure to finish.
Week Two — Complete & Reflect
Building on week one's work, finishing the piece with more confidence, then a reflect-and-share moment before take-home.
Themed activities woven into every session
Each 2-week theme draws on a mix of these approaches — not just painting.
Sparks imagination before creating
Visual references for each theme
Builds observation & creative thinking
Looking closely to inform what's created
Narrative framing for emotional context
